It’s funny how December always manages to sneak up unannounced. It seems like just yesterday that it was July and we were complaining about the cold (such as it is here in sunny SA), and now the year is all but over. We might have posted our final CyberDiary for 2011, but we still have one final surprise in store for you before we bid you adieu until next year.

Our good friends over at Aquavision have very kindly put together a bumper final edition to celebrate the festive season. Special thanks to producer extraordinaire, Sean O’Neill, and his genius editor, Chris Smith, for putting together this smile inducing clip.

Aquavision showcases MalaMala was the first in the ‘it’s all about the wildlife‘ series, and is still by far the most popular. Secret creatures might not feature the usual ‘big name’ stars that fill the pages of our weekly CyberDiaries, but it does afford us a brief look at those animals we seldom get to hear about. It’s all about the baby wildlife was put together in celebration of spring, which is a time of year when the reserve suddenly finds itself teeming with new life.

This is the fourth and final installment for the year, and it’s offers a little bit of everything. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support and enthusiasm. Knowing that we’re writing for such a receptive audience makes our job that much more fun! We wish you everything of the best over the festive season, and we’ll see you all in 2012!

Happy end of year folks, enjoy!

  1. I have always heard that at midnight on Christmas Eve the animals can talk. I sure would like to be in the bush to hear what gets said out there. Thanks for your great work and Happy Holidays.
