We recently had the pleasure of hosting Haley Rosengarten at MalaMala. We were absolutely delighted to receive her feedback below, and simply had to share it with you! We have no doubt you will enjoy her images immensely, as did we!
After reflecting on my experiences in MalaMala last week, I am still left with few words to describe the four nights/five days I spent at Main Camp. Below are a few of my thoughts on what I have describe as the top experience and trip of my life.
I have stayed at many five star hotels around the world and the staff at MalaMala was far superior. From the minute we were met on the Tarmac each staff member was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. The wait staff was just lovely and very meticulous about everything being to our dietary likings and the cleanliness of the camp. The grounds staff made sure that the camp was always glowing. You could not walk anywhere without being greeted by a smile and a helpful information.
Just wow! I have never seen a Boma and it really added to the wonderful MalaMala experience. The staff again was so engaged and the food was out of this world. The songs and dances of the staff allowed us to see and feel part of the culture of county. Additionally, sitting with our Ranger allowed us to get to know him and connect with him past just what we learned on the drives. The Rangers were very disciplined and their customer services was exceptional.
Brendan has changed my life forever. He created a culture on the vehicle that allowed my family to learn about each animal in a manner that fit out personalities. He made sure every animal on our list we not only saw but really spent time with on numerous occasions. He was extremely educated on each species and was able to read us to know what we were interested in hearing and what was enough information sharing. He constantly checked to ensure we were always smiling and encouraged us to really make the most out our time together.
Additionally, we asked if we could go on a small hike on the third day when we were in transition to having another group join our car. He took us to the top of a small rock/mountain which I think will be the most serene place I will ever be in my life. I sat on the rocks looks out for miles able to put my life situations aside and appreciate everything life has to offer and more. Brendan became part of our family in four days and truly changed each member of the group forever. We are grateful for him.
The Bar Staff
What great guys! Every day we found ourselves in the bar before and/or after dinner. Kevin and Michael were a just great. They told us stories, taught us about MalaMala’s history and were able to describe the great pictures on the wall. Additionally, the opportunity to talk to other Rangers allowed us to feel the camaraderie amongst the Rangers and the pride in their work.
MalaMala Main Camp has changed my life. I will forever speak of the staff and the experience of a top highlight of my life. Thank you for everything and truly creating a memorable opportunity for my family.
Haley, the pleasure was all ours. We hope to have the opportunity of hosting you again.
